Xbox Repair
Australia-Wide
Series X, Series S, Xbox One — no signal, won't turn on, dead disc drive, drifting sticks. Board-level work under the microscope, one fixed quote before anything happens, back on the truck in 3-5 business days.
What's wrong with your Xbox?
The big four Xbox failures, what causes them, and exactly what the fix costs. GST, parts and labour included — related components checked under the same fixed price.
Powers on, no picture — HDMI
Console chimes, controller connects, TV insists there's no signal. On a console that's been shifted or toppled it's nearly always bent HDMI pins. On Series X and S the retimer chip behind the port fails too — we test both under the one diagnosis and quote a single fixed price. Microscope-soldered, then QC'd before it ships back.
Series X $340 · Series S $290 · One $190 · Xbox HDMI repair →
Won't turn on at all
No light, no chime, nothing — or it fires up and dies a second later. Nine times out of ten that's the power supply, not the motherboard, and it's very fixable. We confirm which one before you spend a dollar on the repair.
Series X PSU $350 · Xbox One PSU $119 · Series X won't turn on →
Disc drive dramas
Grinding on insert, discs spat straight back out, or "disc not recognised" on games that worked last week. Worn lasers, dust and the odd double-disc feed from the kids kill drives. Repair keeps your installs, saves and Game Pass library exactly where they are.
Series X/S $179 · Xbox One $129
Overheating & jet-engine fan
Shutting down mid-match, blowing hot air like a hair dryer, or a fan you can hear from the next room. Years of dust in the heatsink plus dried thermal paste. The Series X full system clean includes fresh thermal paste; on Xbox One a worn fan gets replaced outright.
Series X clean $160 · One fan $99 · Overheating fix →
Controller drift & dead bumpers
Crosshair wandering on its own, bumpers double-clicking or gone quiet. Stock sticks are a wear part — our TMR upgrade swaps them for magnetic tunnel sensors with no contact wear, immune to drift. Bumper and button repairs are quick bench jobs.
TMR sticks from $90 · Bumper $49 · Controller drift fix →
Older Xbox One? Still worth it
One, One S or One X — parts are affordable and these consoles keep going for years. HDMI port $190, disc drive $129, power supply $119. If a repair ever isn't worth doing, we'll tell you straight and offer a trade-in instead.

My Xbox turns on but there's no picture — is it the HDMI port?
Usually, but not always. Bent or worn HDMI pins are the most common cause, especially on a console that's been moved or knocked over. On Series X and Series S the retimer chip behind the port can also fail. We check both under the same diagnosis and quote one fixed price before any work starts: $340 Series X, $290 Series S, $190 Xbox One. Not sure it's even the console? Read Xbox no signal: port or board?
How much does Xbox HDMI port repair cost in Australia?
$340 for Xbox Series X, $290 for Series S and $190 for Xbox One — parts, labour and GST included, backed by a 3-month workmanship warranty. Mail-in adds a flat $100 fully insured shipping both ways, charged only if you approve the repair.
My Xbox Series X won't turn on at all. Is it dead?
Rarely. A completely dead Series X is usually a failed power supply — we repair or replace it for $350. You don't commit to anything first: send it in with our prepaid insured label, get a fixed quote with photos within 24 hours of arrival, then decide.
My Xbox won't take or read discs — what does that cost?
$179 for a Series X/S disc drive repair, $129 for Xbox One. Grinding noises, rejected discs and "disc not recognised" errors are the usual symptoms. Your installed games and saves aren't touched.
Is an Xbox One still worth repairing?
Often, yes. Xbox One HDMI port replacement is $190, a disc drive repair $129 and a power supply repair $119 — well under the cost of replacing the console, and your library and saves stay put. If we ever think a repair isn't worth doing, we'll say so and offer a trade-in instead.
