1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to Console Repair Australia, a trading name of No Fuss Computers Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). It explains how we handle the personal information you provide when you book a repair, trade in a device, or otherwise engage with our website at consolerepairaustralia.com.au.
2. The information we collect
To deliver a mail-in repair we need to collect enough information to identify you, contact you, ship to and from you, and process payment. Specifically:

3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you:
- Submit the booking form at /book/
- Submit the trade-in form at /trade-in/
- Email or call us
- Pay an invoice through Stripe Checkout
- Visit our website (limited cookie-free analytics)
4. How we use it
- To fulfil the service you booked — generate AusPost labels, quote, send updates, ship the repaired console back to you
- To take payment — through our payment processor Stripe (which independently handles your card details)
- To support warranty claims — match a follow-up to your original repair
- To send service emails — booking confirmation, quote, tracking, completion, review request
- To send marketing emails ONLY if you opted in on the booking form — you can unsubscribe anytime in one click
- To improve our service — aggregated analytics on pageviews and form completion rates
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of delivering the service you booked:
- Australia Post (MyPost Business) — your name, address, phone, and email are sent to AusPost to generate prepaid labels and tracking notifications
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd) — payment processing
- FormSubmit.co — relays your form submission to our email inbox (no stored database)
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and processes analytics
- Google Workspace — our email provider; emails to/from you are stored in our Gmail business inbox
- Our outbound email/SMS service — if you opted in to SMS updates for Express/Priority service
We may disclose your information when required by law (e.g. court orders, ATO requests, NSW Police investigations).
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store data overseas:
- Stripe — Australia + United States
- Cloudflare — global CDN (your data sits closest to the AU edge)
- Google Workspace — United States + EU
By using our service you consent to this overseas disclosure. Each provider is subject to its own privacy policy and to comparable data protection legislation in its jurisdiction.
7. How we store and protect it
- All form submissions are encrypted in transit via HTTPS (TLS 1.3)
- Payment data is handled by Stripe — we never see your full card number. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
- Our internal systems (Gmail, Notion/spreadsheets) are protected by strong passwords + 2FA
- Photos and console serial numbers you submit are stored only as long as needed for your repair plus 12 months (for warranty + dispute purposes), then deleted
- Bank account details for trade-ins are used once for the bank transfer then deleted
8. How long we keep your information

9. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you — email us and we'll send a copy within 30 days
- Correct any inaccurate personal information
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we've mishandled your information — see oaic.gov.au

10. Cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics which is cookie-free. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site tracking unless explicitly disclosed (e.g. if we run paid Meta ad campaigns, we'll add this section).
The booking form may set a session cookie in your browser to remember partial form data — this is cleared when you close the tab.
11. Children
Our service is for adults (18+). If a parent or guardian is booking on behalf of a child, the parent/guardian is the legal customer for the purposes of this policy and these terms.
12. Personal data on the console itself
Your console may contain personal information (saved games, accounts, photos, payment cards linked to PSN/Xbox/Nintendo). We treat this with the same care as any other personal information:
- We do not access your accounts unless required to test the repair
- We do not copy save data, screenshots, or content from your console
- If a factory reset is required for the repair we will tell you in the quote — you can decline
- If we discover personal data on a console you transferred to us as a trade-in, we will securely wipe it before re-use, refurbishment, or recycling
Despite our care, we strongly recommend you back up or remove personal data before sending us the console.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always at this URL with the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes (e.g. adding a new third-party data processor), we will notify customers via email.
