PS5 Won't Turn On? PSU Replacement from $350
PS5 is dead — no beep, no light, no fan when you press the power button. Prepaid, insured label, fixed quote first, 3-month workmanship warranty. Nothing to pay upfront — a flat $100 shipping (both ways, insured) is added to your invoice only if you approve the fix.
How to know it's this fault
- No power at all when button pressed
- Brief flash of light then dead
- Smell of burning or seeing smoke (stop using it immediately)
- Console shuts off and won't restart
The common cause
Power surge, failed capacitor inside the PSU, or a blown MOSFET on the power board. PS5 PSUs aren't built to handle Australian voltage spikes well — surges from storms or dodgy power boards kill them often.
How we repair it
Bench test the PSU under load, repair component-level if possible (saves money), otherwise replace with a tested unit. Re-check all rails before reassembly. We always recommend a surge protector going forward.
