What's actually wrong

The common cause

9 times out of 10 it's the HDMI port itself. The port is soldered to the motherboard and a knock or yank on the cable lifts pads off the board. The PS5 then can't push a signal even though everything else works.

We desolder the damaged HDMI port under a microscope, rebuild any lifted pads with jumpers, install a brand-new genuine port, and re-flow to factory spec. Full HDCP/4K test before it leaves us.
