🪳 The Cockroach Clause

We've opened consoles that came with tenants. Actual, living tenants — there's a Series X on our socials that arrived as a functioning roach hotel. If your console shows up infested, $80 comes off the payout to cover quarantine and full decontamination before it's allowed anywhere near our bench. Dust, cat hair, a decade of Cheeto residue? All fine. Dust is our whole business.

FAQ

Selling your console, answered

How much do you pay for a dead console?

Dead PS5 (disc) or Xbox Series X: $200. PS5 Digital Edition: $150. The actual postage cost comes off the payout at the end — we send you the prepaid label so there's nothing to organise.

How does the buyback work?

Tell us what you've got, we email a prepaid AusPost label, you drop the console at any post office. We inspect it on the bench within 48 hours of arrival and pay you by bank transfer the same day — the quoted price minus the postage.

What if my console doesn't power on at all?

That's exactly what we're buying. Dead, no display, no power, drive jammed — all fine. We repair or strip them for verified parts, so the condition of the fault doesn't change the offer.

What's the cockroach clause?

If a console arrives with a live roach infestation, $80 comes off the payout — it covers quarantine and full decontamination before the console can come anywhere near the bench. Dust is fine. Dust is our whole business.
